Gantry Loading Cell, in short
A beam carrying a loading unit above the machines. The D-series single-arm gantry covers one machine, the S-series single-arm two-machine gantry covers two, and the S-series single- and double-arm multi-machine gantry covers three machines or more, with X-axis effective travel of 2.4 – 3.0 m (D series), 6 m (S-series two-machine) and 7.5 m (S-series multi-machine). Drive is a servo motor with precision rack and pinion and a Shimpo reducer from Japan; repeat positioning accuracy is ±0.03 MM on the D05 and D10 and ±0.08 MM on the D20 (from the company brochure).

Drive and transmission

Electrical control system
Syntec (Taiwan), KND, Shenzhen Langyuxin, Huacheng and others; touch color screen with keys, with the running program defined and modified on site.
Standard and optional
Automatic lathe door, chip blowing and automatic lubrication (No. 00 grease pump) are standard; an integrated gripper or a servo gripper is optional, with vision or electronic plug gauges added for in-line inspection as required.

Point-matrix integrated unit with full guarding, single-machine gantry lathe, belt-type integrated unit, rotary storage integrated unit and sliding-head lathe integrated unit.

What accuracy does a gantry robot hold?
The X-axis and Z-axis repeat positioning accuracy of the D05 and D10 is ±0.03 MM; the D20 is ±0.08 MM (from the company brochure).
How much headroom does a gantry robot need?
Standard models are about 2.3 – 3.8 m high, depending on the series, so the clear height of the shop and the position of any crane have to be confirmed. The site is measured at proposal stage.
Is a gantry robot easy to move to another position?
Relatively. The company brochure lists ease of relocation as one of the features of the gantry approach, but the machine layout and power distribution still have to be confirmed again for the new position.
