MW500 Small-Part Five-Axis Machining: Robot Options and Fixture Access
The source example is 20–30 mm in diameter and 10–20 mm high.
Technical application analysis. Small rotary-hook components; MW500 five-axis machining equipment; optional robot and machine automation functions.
Reference configuration and timing
- The source example is 20–30 mm in diameter and 10–20 mm high.
- Approximately 20–30 operations include milling, slotting, drilling and tapping, with example machining times of 4 min 50 s to 6 min.
- Automatic door, chip handling, tool management and robot functions are options.
Engineering evaluation
Small-part gripping must avoid finished thin edges and permit withdrawal around the five-axis fixture. Completing machining in one setup does not mean an unoriented blank can be dropped into the fixture.
Longer cutting windows can support shared tending, but verify clustered completion, fixture cleaning and tray replenishment. Dividing machining time by robot movement time alone does not establish a safe machine-to-robot ratio.
Selection conditions and evidence limits
Options require order-specific confirmation. Published cost or precision statements are not adopted as New Partner quotations, quality guarantees or delivery results.
Application questions
Does one-setup machining include automatic blank loading?
No. Workpiece presentation, placement and clamp confirmation remain separate functions.
Can one robot serve several MW500 machines?
That requires a route and timing study including the full loading and recovery sequence.
