Valve-Body Drilling and Tapping: Dual-Gripper Robot Selection

The product source describes DN50–DN150 and three-face drilling/tapping.

Technical application analysis. Dn50–dn150 valve bodies; three-face drilling and tapping equipment; optional dual-gripper robot with discharge conveyor.

Reference configuration and timing

  • The product source describes DN50–DN150 and three-face drilling/tapping.
  • A higher specification can include a dual-gripper loading robot and transfer finished parts to a conveyor.

Engineering evaluation

DN is nominal bore, not the outside dimensions a robot must grip. Collect flange diameters, branch projections, blank mass and acceptable contact surfaces, then simulate both grippers through the exchange path.

Define separate permissions for door position, fixture release, seating and clamping. A downstream conveyor also needs an available discharge position; finishing a machining program does not prove that the outfeed can accept a part.

Selection conditions and evidence limits

An optional product feature is not proof of a supplied customer configuration. The spreadsheet’s 120 s is not adopted as a universal valve-body cycle or a New Partner result.

Application questions

Can DN determine the gripper opening?

No. Use the actual blank and gripping geometry.

Does a dual gripper always exchange two parts simultaneously?

Its sequence depends on machine access and fixture release. Verify the complete collision-free sequence.
